These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern participation in programs, competitions, services, and online platforms operated by BEST Robotics Inc.

By registering for, accessing, or participating in BEST Robotics Inc. programs or events, participants, mentors, volunteers, and organizations agree to these Terms.

1. Program Mission

BEST Robotics Inc. provides educational robotics programs designed to inspire students to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) through hands-on engineering challenges and team-based learning.

Participants are expected to support the educational mission and values of BEST.

2. Eligibility

Participation may be limited to:

  • registered student teams
  • teachers and school administrators
  • approved mentors
  • authorized volunteers
  • invited partners and sponsors

Participants must comply with eligibility requirements specified for each season or competition.

3. Code of Conduct

All participants must behave in a manner consistent with the values of:

  • respect
  • fairness
  • teamwork
  • safety
  • professionalism
Participants must not engage in:

  • harassment or discrimination
  • unsafe behavior
  • academic dishonesty or rule violations
  • disruption of events or program activities

BEST Robotics Inc. reserves the right to remove participants or teams who violate these standards.

4. Mentor and Adult Responsibilities

Adults working with student teams are expected to:

  • provide appropriate supervision
  • maintain safe learning environments
  • follow youth protection policies
  • ensure compliance with competition rules
  • support ethical engineering practices

Mentors should guide students without completing the engineering work for them

5. Competition Rules and Judging

Participation in BEST competitions requires compliance with:

  • official game rules
  • build guidelines
  • event procedures
  • judging criteria

BEST Robotics Inc. reserves the right to interpret and enforce competition rules.

Judging decisions are considered final.

6. Intellectual Property

Teams retain ownership of designs and engineering work created by students. However, by participating in BEST programs, participants grant BEST Robotics Inc. a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:

  • display
  • photograph
  • record
  • publish

team projects or presentations for educational or promotional purposes.

7. Safety

Safety is a core priority of BEST programs.

Participants must:

  • follow all safety guidelines
  • use tools and equipment responsibly
  • comply with event venue policies
  • adhere to local regulations

Failure to follow safety requirements may result in disqualification or removal from events.

8. Website and Platform Use

Users of BEST online systems agree to:

  • provide accurate registration information
  • maintain account security
  • refrain from misuse of platforms
  • avoid unauthorized access attempts

BEST Robotics Inc. may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

9. Limitation of Liability

Participation in robotics activities involves inherent risks.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BEST Robotics Inc., its partners, volunteers, and affiliates are not liable for:

  • injuries
  • property damage
  • losses arising from participation in events or programs

Participants may be required to sign separate waivers for specific events.

10. Termination

BEST Robotics Inc. may suspend or terminate participation if individuals or teams:

  • violate these Terms
  • violate competition rules
  • create safety risks
  • engage in misconduct

11. Changes to Terms

BEST Robotics Inc. may revise these Terms periodically. Updated Terms will be posted on the official BEST website. Continued participation indicates acceptance of revised terms.
